What kind of weapon to be used for big game?
say your going to Africa and incounter elephants, lions, Buffalo, Hippo. What type of rifle, shotgun used? What size do you use? Thanks Please give good answers
375H & H, .416, .458 Win all calibres are good for five large animals, however, all of whom are second-rate to 458 mag Lott. A & H 375H customary to leave an elephant, but is the best round lion there, in my opinion. While the 460 Weatherby Mag challenges some of the rounds Nitro Express, if you ever shoot the gun will not want to again. His form more than kill, and even Weatherby himself said this! Some people on this site will tell you a 30.06, I do not suggest you try it! If you really looking for the best all around caliber Its 458 African Lott. Nearly every guide you will ever see in the plains will bring this caliber and theres a reason. There are double rifles out there for you, or even bolt in the rounds of Nitro. The Lott will double, Bolt action rifles and single. Most guides will not let you hunt with a semi automatic rifle in Africa nor allowed to hunt the big five with guns, even if you use slugs, that just does not do the job and end up killing someone!
