#6.”I dogged ‘em to the widder’s stile, and stood in the dark, and heard … the Spaniard swear he’d spile her looks…” (Huck Finn)
#7.”It’s luck for us, that cross is. I reckon we’ll climb down there and have a hunt for that box.” (Huck Finn)
try to give me some hints/answers of the re-writing. plz
These sentences are not difficult to translate, if you spend the bare minimum of work on it.
Heck, I’ll even give you one to get you started:
“He wasn’t bad, really– only mischievous. Only just silly, and flighty, you know.”
Just think about what they are saying, and use a dictionary for some of the more uncommon words, like dogged. Say some of the other words out loud – what does “spile” sound like? The context of the sentence helps you as well.
