Elk Hunting Colorado Season

I live in Colorado for Elk and Deer Hunt I and some pronghorn the question I have is why rifle to buy.?

I need to buy a hunting rifle for season and I'm not sure what caliber weapon or to shoot so many options just trying to see what others think. Because why I ask this question does everyone think I'm a n00b hunting / shooting I just heard different things from all that I know like going 7mm WSM, van 30/06, 25/06, 270, 270 WSM, now with ammunition as such weapons do LeveRevolution Marlin 45/70 444 Marlin and 450 options for becoming rank and Knock Down Power. I just wanted to know what people thought and I appreciate the information on what appears to be most peoples 30.06 for the election and thank him. FYI I shoot a Marlin 30-30 lever action shooting ammunition standard 150-grain for hunting and target shooting 160 grain LeveRevolution Thanks again.

Husband Bound here: It seems to be starting a hunter / shooter with little experience, or smart enough to not be a quarterback Monday morning! I think your best option, aiming to develop, build skills, and the capacity of the dam desired 1 shot, would be the Remington 700. to the cartridge, I would recommend that we consider the .30-06 Springfield. Being from Colorado, I think it will have more opportunity for a long shot (perhaps 500 or 600 yards). The '06 will handle the game you describe, with ease! While you can go with the .308 (my choice staff in my 700 Varmint), I think the .30-06 will give you the performance advantage that can help them overcome their lack of marksmanship skill. I strongly recommend a field Fixed power: as a Leupold or Weaver in 6 or 8 power. Fixed levels of power are reliable, and you have a coherent view … basically the KISS principle … experienced some hunters usually agree with! Good luck!
