Game Hunting Rifles
New big game rifle. 7mm rem mag, 300 WM, 300 WSM?
I will be elk hunting almost every year, every 2 years, caribou and black bear ever I'm going moose hunting. I've never shot a 300. Win Mag or 300. WSM but have shot the 7mm mag real. I was watching the 300. WSM, because I said the fall in the 300. Win Mag was quite large. And the 300. WSM has not recoil much more than the actual size of 7 mm. I was looking at ballistics and 300. WSM shoots faster, flatter and hits harder. I do not know, but however much he does and has less recoil. I know the ammo is so common, but that does not matter because I see it a lot. What caliber you recommened? I was looking at a Browning A-Bolt stainless stalker. I'm considering the 300. WSM most, but not the 300. Win Mag and 7mm rem Mag both tied. I have a 270. win and that is what I use now for these animals and want something bigger.
You are going after some very large animals. This requires a large amount of energy to be delivered upon impact of the bullet, since energy = mass * acceleration requires a heavy bullet traveling very fast. And since the Newton's laws says that for every action there is an opposite and equal reaction, that energy will be reflected on our shoulder. Go with the Browning stainless stalker 300 WinMag with Brake BOSS mouth and get a good recoil (LimbSaver) … you will feel like a 308 or less. I have a 270 with the same configuration and it feels like a 243
