History Hunting License

are bobcats endangered in Pennsylvania ?

I always though that bobcats were endangered in Pennsylvania and when I heard my history teacher say that he got a hunting license, I was devastated. I adore wildlife and i just wanted to get my answer straight before i said something to my teacher about hunting them where I live.

Thank You,
Jazmin Marie C.

The article does not say I would say any animal would be endgangered from humans, they say in Mexico they are endangered cause farmers shoot them cause they kill a few livestock. They do get hunted for their fur and that can hurt them.

the article says, “Population
Approximately 725,000 to 1,020,000 bobcats remain in the wild.”
To me that would not seem exactly endangered but I would not assume that they are ok and its a big sigh of relief. The population of a species can dwindle in a hurry. If you must say something to your teacher ask him first why he wants to do it. IF you want to(NOT SAYING YOU SHOULD) but if you must just tell him kindly how you feel but do not lecture him and say he should not. However there is nothing you can do really.

**** Try writing letter to your congress and volunteer to help the wild animals that watch their progress and check that they are not dwindling. I’m sure they would be more than happy for you to help
them.AND if it makes you feel any better I feel the same way to. Love wildlife and feel the same about hunting but we’re kinda of stuck with it for now. Someday it may go away thats only for us animal lovers to dream about.
Good Luck on what you do about the animals!!
