Too Nervous To Ask For Jobs @ Cafe’s etc?
Hey (I put it in this section, rather than the employment one because I think the response here will be more helpful, sorry:P)
I’m a teenager & I really need a job, to get me out of the house, & so I can have some money :L
But I hate asking. I’ve asked in places before, and I know that once I’ve gone in there and asked I feel fine, so I don’t know why I still don’t like doing it.
It’s really hindering me in my job-hunting, any tips on what to do? or links to some (UK) websites where potential employers advertise jobs?
If you have asked places before and they have said no then thats probably why its hard to ask. Some people find it harder and harder to ask because they start to feel slightly fearful that they will be turned down for the job. But if you just go in very confident and show ur confident to the employer, and dont expect anything just think im only gunna ask, if it happens, it happens! Also take in ur CV and if they say they dont have anything available then say ‘Oh well no problem, but heres my cv (or give them ur number if u dont have a cv), so if you get any vacancies then I would be happy to work here’
