public hunting land in illinois is it legal?
ok i have about a 3 mile hike to get to my stand with lots of steep hills my concern is when i harvest my deer (we call to check in our deer here) is it legal for me to cape and quarter the deer in the woods and take it out piece by piece we are not allowed to take any typ of atv in
Use a deer drag or cart you can put all your stuff on it for the hike in and out.

This is an example I made my own out of old bicycle parts these are legal every where as there is no pedaling or motor. Its not classified as a bike or motorcycle or atv it’s just a cart. The USDA Forest Service uses these to haul in heavy equipment into wilderness areas where rules prohibit power equipment and atv’s.
