Many have accused of using AA as a place to recruit people to Christianity and that is simply not so. Now there are many churches that volunteers running AA meetings or offering their facilities for meetings, but in reality is a false accusation. Now, some alcoholics can achieve with others in the group for comfort and can share the Bible with these people who are down on their luck, but is an entirely different matter.
It makes sense that people can discuss their faith with others, and it makes sense because it is an easy hunting ground for converting people, I suppose that many members of AA have kind of hit bottom. You know and Marine Corps boot camp like that tear down and create a backup as a Marine or a motive, Soldier.
Those who admit they have a problem in a psychological low point, but the commitment to make it work, so they are vulnerable to whatever may come. If Christianity is a religion very negative or a cult. They may be desperate for companionship, and help replace what is gone now, alcohol.
I realized that many people who had become, as born-again Christians actually do in a relatively low point in his life, or they thought it was a low point. Most said it was the best thing that ever did and that changed their lives. Of course change that much change your life, I guess.
Since I am neither a Bible Thumper or an alcoholic, I think this whole discussion interesting indeed. I certainly hope this article is of interest that has driven thinking.
