BEST Birthday Present Ever!? Help please!

Alright I am jetting off to San Diego, California with my 2 best friends for ten days – over these ten days I am missing my mom’s birthday, we are going to celebrate when I get back from San Diego….
so while I am in San Diego I am going to get my mom her present.
+It has to be a GREAT present as I am missing her birthday and my mom loves San Diego!
+I am already going sea shell hunting (it sounds stupid) but my mom loves loves loves sea shells, so I am getting her a few sea shells.
+I am going to Sea Port Village (http://www.seaportvillage.com/shopping/) and Fashion Valley Mall (http://www.simon.com/MALL/directory.aspx?ID=765)
To anyone that knows any of these stores, or lives in San Diego please provide some good gift ideas!
