Hunting Video Games

During that time, Atari set the standard for video games. In fact, before Nintendo came in late 1980, Atari was synonymous with the word game.
Even more popular than the system itself were the games that were created to go along with Atari 2600. Many of these games still remain as staples in galleries around the world:
 • Adventure – Considered the first adventure game, adventure allowed players to move a character through color code castles in search of swords and keys.
 • Asteroids – A favorite of Star Wars fans everywhere gave players Asteroids the opportunity to control a spaceship through hyperspace and shoot at different kinds of space debris.
 • Frogger – fans will remember this game moving a frog across a busy street, dodging cars, trucks, and buses in the hope of reaching a river on the opposite side.
 • Gravitar – In this classic science fiction of the game, players from the surface of different planets orbit and shoot at the bunkers on the surface.
 • Haunted House – The players have to navigate your way through a haunted mansion that doubled as a maze, avoiding the bats, ghosts, vampires and the road.
 • Joust – Flying around an ostrich, players maneuver their way around a playing field in an attempt to kill the vultures.
 • Pac Man – Perhaps the most popular video game of all time, Pac Man would give players the ability to move a yellow circle with hunger by a maze of small dots.
