The walker has a history dating back year 1700, and George Washington. Washington and his friend John W. Walker breed their dogs with the foxhound with the hope of creating a top hunter. This race is also popularly used in another game such as rabbit, fox, raccoon, and even larger game such as bears and wild boar. The dog caught the scent of the animal with his extraordinary sense of smell and can track the animals for miles in the deep woods. This unique sound, not soon leave the mind of a newcomer to the game. It is a sound pure echoes through the forest. The dog often weighs over 70 pounds and measures more than two feet high.
