Hunting deer with the phases of the moon?
I hear people hunting deer using moon phases to improve their chances of hunting certain hours the day. Everything seems a bit confusing to me. Can anyone give guidance to make it easy to understand?
Deer tend to move more in one night of moonlight on a moonless night. When the moon is bright, deer tend to move more in the late evening to morning, evening and morning hours. When there is no moon, the deer will move in the day. This has been tested by a researcher named John Wootters, and discussed in an article called "white-tailed deer by the time" (link below).
