Movie Hunting Season
Is it really necessary to drink the blood of his first hunting kill?
I'm getting ready to start deer hunting next season and this tradition is really freaking me out. Are the guides 'do' I swallow or smear of blood on my face, or is it a film / internet rumor that I am buying?
There is a rumor or fairy tale, but a tradition of more of our nation! It was and still is where I grew up. It is not "necessary" But this centuries-old tradition has always been a part of that memorable "first hunt" where I come from, and, looking back on his own in the next years can only be a loss to repent if they do not. . . . . . I did, both drinking and 'baptism', and lose his shirt in celebration my first victory, and the animal who gave his life so that I and my family could survive a little better, as did all my uncles and cousins, and, for better or worse during the event, we all remember fondly the very memory I have after all these long years past. From the sound of many of these other city boy replies, my family must be a group of pagans REAL Williams Mountain!!
