There are three main types of hounds: Sighthounds, sniffer dogs and lurchers.

Hounds, such as the Whippet, have an incredible view and are extremely well fast. Their mode of hunting is called 'running'. They see their prey – often from a distance – then stalk, chase and kill. These dogs are athletic, fast, very quiet and very independent. They are very affectionate and loyal to their owners and are good with children. They guard dogs without hope, since we're so confident!

Scent hounds, as you would imagine, use their sense of smell for hunting. Beagles, Basset Hounds Coonhound American and all use their noses to follow the dam. That often hunt in packs and can pursue the game for a very long long before curves or kill him. These dogs have bark characteristics booming and emotional expressions.

Lurchers are mainly some sort of hound bred with a working dog.

Gun Dogs

Hunters have a hunting dog with them to return what has skyrocketed. Retrievers are very good at remembering where you've fallen prey and love to retrieve ducks or geese that have been shot and fell into the water. A dog typical game is very well trained and can follow orders from a long distance away. They are famous for their "soft mouth" which means that not leave a mark on the game they have recovered.

Spaniels are excellent for finding game and washing out of any hiding place. They are also great swimmers, good dogs family and loyal.

Pointers are also loyal. They are happy and affectionate dogs. Despite being raised for hunting, that make great pets, long as sufficient exercise. When you are hunting, which, literally, period! One of the indicators most famous was Judy, a ship's dog during the Second World War. His special skill was the spot where Japanese planes came from – long before human beings on board, even I could hear their engines! Judy was awarded the animal equivalent of the Victoria Cross (the Dickin Medal) in 1946.

Terriers

Most animals that help terriers hunt are pests. For example, Jack Russell go after the pigs and foxes and badgers land in America hunting Terriers in the UK (legally and illegally!). Hunters terriermen working with these dogs are called.
