Commodity Futures Trading Next trend and the market traders were villified last year as speculators. Even George Soros came out with the assertion that the steep increase in crude oil is due to speculators. Counselors commodity trading trend following are the speculators, but not manipulate trends. One of the fundamental principles of the trend is that there is a tendency to follow. Commodities traders certainly can not start trends. Merchants commodities are accused of throwing the markets into disarray. As an example, Bloomberg News reported yesterday that the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) announced plans to introduce restrictions on the speculation of commodities, including energy.
So much for free markets? For both short and go recent years the stock market crash. Short sellers were simply following the trend. The trend of financial stocks down, trade advisers commodities or securities traders shorted the stock indices. Do not start the trend. Commodity futures traders not make loans or grant mortgages recklessly. Banks and credit card companys did.
We all remember the Hunt brothers who tried to corner the silver market. That was the handling. How traders of many commodities futures try to corner a market? How about none. They do not need to be successful. Markets rise and fall based on fear, panic, demands and supply. The simple fact is trend-following trends do not start or panic, just react to them and be available to them. They can go long or short. No opinion .. just follow trends.
It's almost easy to blame someone or make anyone a scapegoat. Come on .. really Commodity Futures Trading or trading stock index in recent years because of the accident. But traders (sellers in short) became the scapegoat and said speculators caused the stock market in turn. Did I forget something nobody could have sold a contract one of the regulated markets or a bear profunds Fund. That's a free market. The blame game is a loser who had the same option as a follower of the winning streak that does not take responsibility for their losses.
How can Washington control of a free market?
